Writing---Anywhere?

Non-stop, up and down, loopy loop, and spiral is the kind of roller coaster ride I have been on for the past two weeks. Since I started blogging for this class, I also have started back writing on my free time. It couldn’t have happen at a better time. Putting all my thoughts and feelings on paper has deducted a lot of stress. As busy as I have been, I have made time for writing. I have been constantly on the go. No matter where I go, I have been able to write. Saving my writings in my text messages, emails, or just using the classic pencil and pen have given me the ability to write everywhere. I love technology for giving me this convenience. Taking the time to write is making me a better writer. My imagination has been running wild. Writing in different places has really helped me to notice how different environments affect my writing. I am going to continue to write on my free time.

  1. Melonie, this is such a great idea. To write whenever and where ever obviously can help you grow as a writer. I mean think about it, writing is an art form, and a dying one at that. Do you think the best painters only paint or draw one day and they make their masterpiece in that one sitting? Of course not, they doodle everywhere and take their inspiration from different settings to collaborate them together in one. I feel writing would be the same. No author has just sat down one day and wrote a novel. Most of the book comes from different times and different things, like: journals, essays, a text/blog, any writing that they still have access to later. I feel doing all this will make you a great writer and possibly prep you for a future writing.

  2. This blog really teaches me that if you express yourself through your writing then it will be your best work. you pretty much told me that the whole world is my canvas to write and express myself. the best writers thought like this and have gone to many places for that one thought. you can do it too, because you already have the passion for it and the mindset.

  3. Melonie, I hope that you tell us more about the technologies that you use to help you write anywhere anytime. And I also hope that you explain more about your theory of how environment impacts your writing.

And if I could plus 1 the comments by Ashley and Ryan, I would! You both made wonderful comments on Melonie's post.

  4. I think that this is an awesome post! I completely understand how you feel, for the past two months I have felt like I've been on an emotional roller coaster but I take time to write about it and it really makes me feel better! It is amazing how putting our thoughts on pen and paper can really make us feel better about whatever we might be going through! Great post girl!!!
